Hi Everyone,
Very exciting news: Tomorrow is my last day as Senior Designer at Louise Fili Ltd. In December of 2006, I sent Louise an illustration promo, not because I thought I would get any work out of it, but because I admired her work and wanted her to have one. That promo landed me an interview, which turned into a job offer — a job that has basically changed my life. Working for Louise has been truly wonderful. I've learned more in my two and a half years here than I would have learned in fifteen years anywhere else. She has really helped me grow as a designer (especially as a typographer!) and as a person, supplying many pastries along the way. I feel so lucky that I was able to learn under a true legend of the graphic design field, whose talent and professionalism is only surpassed by her generosity and kindness. I will certainly miss being a part of this tiny office, but am very excited for what is to come. I'll be devoting myself full-time to my freelance type, illustration, and design career (which has essentially been a second full-time job for the past few years), as well as working on self-authored projects (fonts, posters, letterpress, stationery, etc.) and getting A LOT more sleep. Replacing me at Louise Fili Ltd is Cardon Webb of cardoncopy.com and cardondesign.com.

I just finished letterpressing these posters, which are now for sale as an edition of 250, each signed and editioned. They are $100 each + $10 shipping and handling + tax. The print is 3 color and depicts a viney alphabet in black, orange, and green. They were printed with boxcar plates on Crane's Lettra 110lb paper on a Vandercook #4 at The Arm in Williamsburg. The dimensions are approx 12.5" x 18" (12.625" x 17.875" to be exact).
